COEXIST

http://www.goear.com/listen.php?v=6cea353

My mother taught me to pray almost while learning to talk. She forced me every night to repeat some words I did not understand, and it was infuriating because I was constantly wrong in pronouncing something I did not know what it meant.
We attended Mass every Sunday, and throughout my childhood always had a strong Catholic character. In fact I became expert. By seven years I was by far the best student in catechesis and the favorite of the priest, who always made an example of me to the other children. This situation was perpetuated for years. In fact I was the only one who hit the third grade of Catechism (It was a bloody big fat book...) after memorize the first and second. And I was, of course, an altar boy. (Do you imagine me dressed in white playing the bell?)
But the more I studied, learned and informed myself about Christianity less believed everything they professed.
With a sceptical mind like mine, I never believed in this way of understanding life, and less living so surrounded by hypocrisy.
Religions, overall, are a system of domination over the individual that feeds on ignorance and fear.
No doubt that Jesus existed as a historical figure character as any other historical figure character. But his message was certainly not the circus that exists today with the church.
How am I to understand then the wars that exist and existed between Islamists, Christians and Jews? If they are basically the same religion. Our Old Testament is Jewish holy books. And Islam has the same base. The only difference between these religions is interpretations about Jesus and Muhammad.

- But Mom ... if Jesus was a Jew ...
- But what do you say! How can he be Jewish, do not say profanity Huh? Or I’ll turn your face with a slap. He would be a Christian as God intended!
- (There you killed me ...)

There is only one thing I appreciate about religions, and that’s the teaching of ethics, and to guide the individual to do good...

Many years ago I have declared myself atheist with conviction. (Although I’ve always been already) And the same many years I don’t step on a church to any purpose than playing at a concert. Perhaps when the Pope sell the buildings of the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, all his possessions and wealth and invest it all in the full development of Africa... then, and only then begin to have some faith in what they tell us. Amen.

COEXIST

http://www.goear.com/listen.php?v=6cea353

- (Ahí me matas…)

Amen.
